Our Journey

Kevin Taylor led the RMBS trading desk at Fifth Third, guiding his clients safely through the 2008 financial crisis by steering clear of unsound issuances; when Dodd-Frank created a post-crisis market-making void, Kevin leveraged his macroeconomic expertise and deep understanding of RMBS to fill that gap. In 2014, he founded Mariemont Capital, raising over $85 million in its first 18 months, and the firm has since proven its judgment and character by consistently outperforming every major bond index on a risk-adjusted basis—even after fees. Six years ago, Justin Taylor joined the family business, and today Kevin and Justin collaborate daily—analyzing markets, conducting rigorous risk-management stress tests, and constructing complex portfolios tailored to the most likely macroeconomic regimes ahead.
